Urgent care and walk-in clinics
For same-day care that’s not life-threatening. You’ll get care from a nurse or doctor who can make a diagnosis, request x-rays or lab work, and prescribe medication. Treatment usually includes illness or injury such as low fever, urinary symptoms, sprains, minor burns, lacerations, and rashes.
If you believe your condition is life- or disability-threatening, call 911 or go to an emergency room. You’ll generally pay more money. For illness or injury such as chest pain, limb amputation, deep wounds, sudden confusion, weakness, dizziness, numbness, severe headache, difficulty breathing or speaking, major burns, poisoning, overdoses, or assault.
